Located on a half-acre lot just a two-minute walk to town, Crowe River Retreat is a four-season beachfront and waterfront escape. The property offers city water and sewer, central air, gas heating, and a fireplace for year-round comfort. Relax in the six-person hot tub or on the large deck with dining area while taking in the stunning water views.
Guests enjoy private access to the Crowe River, which is 200 feet wide at the property and expands to 800 feet wide and 35 feet deep just a five-minute paddle away. The gentle shoreline is perfect for children and easy water entry. Paddle, float, or explore with a 16-foot canoe, 2 stand-up paddleboards, two adult kayaks, and a child kayak, with life jackets provided for every age from toddler to adult.
There is a small person-made beach on the property; due to varying water levels following winter it is replenished late June and is available through October. The dock is installed by the 3rd weekend in June and remains available until the 1st weekend in October.
Conveniently located two hours north of Toronto, two and a half hours west of Ottawa, and three hours northeast of Niagara, Crowe River Retreat is ideal for a weekend getaway or a full week of relaxing, family-friendly fun.
Crowe River Retreat is your fully equipped waterfront experience. Firewood for cozy evenings, propane for the BBQ, all linens and towels, four plush robes, and lots of little bonus amenities you won’t find anywhere else are included. Complete with an Electric Vehicle Charger "EV charger" (adapter needed for Tesla).

- Crowe Lake is less than a 5 minute drive, offering ice fishing opportunities when the lake freezes over.
To maintain our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and neighborly respect, all guests must review and agree to the following before booking:

Age & Occupancy: At least one booking guest must be 21+ and present for the entire stay. Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. For peak summer (July & August), the limit is a max of 6 adults (the remaining 2 guests can be kids). Any daytime visitors must be approved in advance. No parties or disruptive events are permitted. Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

No Pets Allowed: Due to severe family allergies, an unfenced yard with small children next door, and close proximity to the riverfront, we enforce a strict no-pets policy with zero exceptions.

Water Safety: Children must be supervised outdoors at all times. Life jackets are mandatory for all guests whenever leaving our shoreline to go onto the water.

Hot Tub Care: Please follow all posted hot tub safety rules. Guests must thoroughly rinse off river water or beach sand before entering the hot tub.

Smoking & Fires: Smoking is permitted strictly at the outdoor fire pit area. Guests must strictly obey all local fire bans communicated by the host (no refunds or discounts for fire bans).

Garbage & Recycling: Guests are responsible for taking their garbage, recycling, and beverage empties upon checkout. Friday is garbage curbside pickup, Tuesday recycling, or visiting the nearby town dump (open Sat/Mon, plus Thursdays in summer). You may leave your garbage for $25/bag if bagged neatly, or $50/bag if sorting/bagging is required by our cleaners.

Rental Agreement & ID Verification: To secure your stay, a standard rental agreement must be signed at the time of booking. This includes entering the names of all adult guests and uploading a valid photo ID of the primary booking guest.

Security Deposit Hold: A standard security deposit hold will be placed on your credit card 2 days prior to check-in. This hold is fully released within 5 business days of your departure, provided no theft, property damage, rule violations, or excessive cleaning costs occur. The security deposit must be successfully held by check-in time, or the door code will not be provided, and no refunds will be given. By making a reservation, you agree to this requirement.

A full calendar of events during your stay will be provided, ensuring there's always something fun to enjoy! Whether you're with family or friends, there's plenty to explore in the town and surrounding area.

- Memorial Park splash pad and a small beach are just a 2-minute walk away.
- Walking distance to the LCBO.
- Grocery store only a 2-minute drive away.
- Less than a 2-minute drive to two public boat launches (one with access to Crowe Lake and the other with access to 16 km of the Crowe River, including our property).
- Enjoy a variety of dining options, including KFC, Subway, Tim Hortons, Pizza Pizza, Theo's Pizza, Mighty Crowe, Tap and Tonic, and Miner’s Diner—all within town.
- The Ranch and Iron Rooster restaurants are just a 7-minute drive away.
